Welcome to Farmers Insurance - Guettler Insurance Agency! We are one of the top 1% of Farmers agencies nationally, with our beautiful Portland, Oregon office located on the Willamette River. We are growing and looking for experienced producers focused on commercial sales to be part of our future. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced career-minded commercial sales professional who is looking for a position with a well-established agency. We believe in removing the obstacles to success by providing tomorrow’s million-dollar producers with the leads, tools, and opportunities to make the most out of their business development skills. As part of the Farmers family of insurance, you will receive training and coaching as well as vetted leads. First year producers are expected to earn a minimum of $55,000 with top producers earning over $100,000 per year. There is no cap in earning potential. We focus on small business commercial lines as well as personal lines for home, auto, life, and financial services.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a proven commercial sales insurance background and an active PC license. We offer a strong base (no draw), a long-term career path, commissions, bonuses, as well as possible health benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.

• Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.

• Follow our proven sales methodology and lead management processes.

• Call and meet with prospective customers by operating telephones, automated lead management systems, and other internet technologies.

• Develop appropriate coverage plans based on the client’s needs and expectations.

• Grow your book of business through available technologies.

Requirements

• Active PC license in Oregon

• Create relationships from a cold start.

• Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.

• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

• Ability to thoroughly understand a client’s business structure and accurately determine coverage needs.

• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products, coverages, and regulations.

• Professional phone etiquette.

• Driven and goal-oriented individual.
