Trade & Working Capital Sales - Vice President

Through our five business lines – Liquidity Management Services, Payments, Trade & Working Capital Solutions, Investor Services and Issuer Services - we provide cash management, payments/receivables solutions, working capital solutions, post-trade securities services and issuer services across Citi’s global network. The VP Trade Sales is a critical role within Citi Commercial Bank’s Trade & Working Capital Sales team which provides support to middle market companies across the United States and Canada. The successful candidate will be tasked with executing the team’s broader sales strategy across key customer segments and industries. They will be focused on the origination of new Trade and Working Capital opportunities among both existing clients and new to bank prospects. They will also require experience with the some if not all of the following Trade Finances & Services Products: Documentary Services (i.e., Letters of Credit, SBLCs, & Collections), Trade Loans, Receivables Finance, Export Agency Finance & Payables Finance. In this role, the successful candidate is accountable for direct business results and authoritative advice regarding the both the capabilities and operations of the business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are also required to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas in addition to external customers. Responsibilities: Responsible for actively calling on clients in partnership with RMs to deepen relationships, proactively owning, responding to, and anticipating future needs, challenges or risks, in addition to identifying and pursuing new clients aligned with CITI’s value proposition Serves as strategic advisor to client and prospects Provides support for senior members of trade Sales Team Coordinate internally to drive timely and flawless execution of client mandates Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure Provides input on business strategy and executes on initiatives Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all time Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
