Registered Nurse - Mother Baby Unit

Location: Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Mother Baby Unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to mothers and their newborns, ensuring safety and comfort during their hospital stay.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to mothers and infants in the postpartum period.
• Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal conditions.
• Educate parents on newborn care practices, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform necessary procedures, including circumcisions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in Mother Baby nursing practice.
• Preferred: STABLE certification and experience with Magnesium Sulfate.
