About the role: The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations while actively working alongside the team. This role ensures safety, productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards while serving as the first level of leadership for warehouse associates. Working closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Team Lead helps see the plans turn to realities. A typical day will involve forklift use to keep the team stocked across various projects and departments, as well as jumping in to join the team hit their productivity goals. Key Responsibilities Leadership and People Management Lead, coach, and support warehouse associates during daily operations Coordinate with the Warehouse Operations Manager to assign daily tasks and ensure labour is aligned with workload priorities Provide on-the-spot training, guidance, and corrective coaching ModelDebrand’svalues, professionalism, and safe work practices Escalate performance, attendance, or behavioural concerns to management Support onboarding and training of new hires Operational Execution Oversee daily warehouse activities including but not limited to receiving, put-away, staging, and shipping Ensure data is entered correctly to company software Maintain a clean and organized floor Step in to perform hands‑on duties as needed Safety and Compliance Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements Conduct safety checks and address hazardsimmediately Conduct audits to ensure quality integrity Report incidents, near‑misses, and equipment issues Ensure compliance with company policies Communication and Reporting Act as the primary point of contact between associates and management Communicate priorities, expectations, and operational updates clearly and effectively Track attendance, productivity, and daily performance metrics Provide end‑shift updates Qualifications: 2+ years of warehouse or dock experience; lead experience preferred Valid forklift certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Previous forklift experience is required Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving procedures Ability to input data accurately and update software in real time Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams Basic computer skills. This role requires the use of Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel) and various internal programs Able to lift 50+lbs and work on feet for extended periods High attention to detail, safety‑minded, and capable of balancing multiple tasks Preferred Attributes: Passion for sustainability and circular economy principles Hands‑on, solutions‑oriented leadership style Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement practices Accountability and reliability Calm, respectful leadership style Problem‑solving and decision‑making Time management and prioritization Work Environment: Warehouse environment with regular forklift use, truck traffic, and material handling Requires PPE: steel‑toe/composite‑toe footwear, high‑vis vests.
