Job Description

The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic CT scans, assisting radiologists in procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care while embodying the mission of the healthcare organization. The incumbent will also manage the daily workflow in the CT department and maintain equipment standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures on patients of various ages, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Assist in the throughput of ER patients, inpatients, and outpatients.
• Administer IV contrast materials under the direction of the radiologist.
• Maintain current CPR certification and complete mandatory in-services.
• Coordinate with the CT department and provide input for strategic planning.
• Monitor quality control of imaging and participate in departmental evaluations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years clinical experience in CT imaging, with trauma experience preferred.
• Licensure: American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and CT (CT), alongside a valid state license for Medical Radiography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA, to be completed within 60 days of hire.
