Job Description

A school district in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking a qualified Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher for a full‑time, school‑based contract . This position serves K–12 students with a variety of disabilities and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative educational environment with ongoing professional and administrative support. Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and educational support to students with a wide range of learning, developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Wisconsin state regulations
• Deliver specialized instruction across multiple disability categories using evidence‑based practices
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
• Modify curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments to meet individual student needs
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instruction based on performance and IEP goals
• Participate in and facilitate IEP meetings while ensuring procedural compliance
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records
• Support a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Cross Categorical Special Education teaching license required
• Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
• Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field

Experience

• Previous school‑based or special education experience preferred
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs preferred
• Experience supporting students across multiple disability categories preferred
• New graduates with appropriate credentials are encouraged to apply

Work Hours

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Approximately 37–40 hours per week
