Technical Program Manager III, Edge Technologies, Google Networking

Identify and initiate New Product Introductions (NPIs) in response to opportunities and needs, acting as the catalyst for gaining support and driving them to completion.Collaborate with Google Networking Technologies (GNT) and Edge engineering teams to develop and articulate long-term strategy and short-term plans, creating roadmaps, engaging teams and engineers, and setting the development pace for software systems and infrastructure.Drive project delivery, technology reviews, guide technical proposals, and build consensus across cross-functional teams.Design and implement new process improvements and facilitate scaling for program teams. Contribute to improving Google's ability to deliver network capacity on time and with availability.Deliver cross-functional projects/programs, ensuring customer value and managing Edge programs that include new NPIs, Edge architecture, and features/functions to deliver new services.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in program management.Experience managing the delivery of network technologies or services within network environments (e.g., service provider, enterprise, or cloud networks).Preferred qualifications:5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.Experience with New Product Introductions (NPIs).Experience with software architecture and the design and development of scalable and reliable systems.Experience developing and influencing long-term strategy and product roadmaps for network infrastructure or software systems.Experience with network protocols and technologies common in service provider or enterprise edge networks (e.g., BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing, Software Defined Networking).A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all.
