Urgent Care PA Locums Needed Brentwood, Pennsylvania Urgent Care Locums Ongoing Coverage WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking NP/PA providers with urgent care or emergency medicine experience for an ongoing locums opportunity in Pennsylvania. This is a great opportunity for providers who are comfortable treating patients of all ages and working independently in a busy urgent care setting. Assignment Highlights 5 FTE providers needed Schedule: Monday Sunday, 8:00 AM 8:00 PM Approximately 20 shifts/month No call Provider will work independently/solo with no physician supervision Providers will rotate between multiple affiliated urgent care locations , all within approximately 30 miles of one another Drive-in candidates only candidates should live within a 2 3 hour driving radius Average patient volume: 3 4 patients per hour Sites typically staffed with 1 3 providers per day EMR: Epic Clinical Responsibilities Providers will manage a typical urgent care patient population, including: Cold and flu symptoms Rashes Abrasions and lacerations Sprains and minor orthopedic injuries Minor burns Wound care and I&Ds Splinting X-rays and EKGs Drawing blood and starting IVs Patients requiring a higher level of care will be referred to the local emergency department Patient Population All ages Must be comfortable treating pediatric patients age 6 months and older Requirements BC/BE Active Pennsylvania license PA DEA PA CSR ACLS, BLS, PALS Minimum 1 year of experience Must have either: 2+ years of urgent care experience , or 1+ year of emergency medicine experience Must be comfortable working independently without supervision Must be comfortable performing orthopedic procedures, including splinting Strong wound care experience required Candidate Presentation Requirements When submitting a provider, please indicate whether the candidate is comfortable or not comfortable with each of the following: Suturing / Wound Care / I&Ds Splinting X-rays / EKGs Drawing Blood / IVs Working Independently Pediatrics Interested?
