You will play a crucial role in engineering a modernization effort to converge our customer's authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The DevOps Engineer must have:Education: Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.Experience: 15+ years of related experienceTechnical skills: A strong DevOps background will be needed to deploy applications, install and configure complex software, manage network servers and technology tools, monitor and maintain the system for required levels of performance and troubleshoot issues and outages.Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly US citizenship requiredRole requirements: Candidates must have experience with:LinuxAWS, MASH, and VMsDocker SwarmDeployments of distributed web applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)Terraform scripting and VM provisioningAnsible scripting and developmentThorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technologyGitDesired experience includes:Python scripting and developmentNiFi maintenance and configurationElasticsearch maintenance and configurationJava / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)HAProxyMongoDBCandidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 4-6 weeks). This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
