About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Accounting Officer to spearhead its accounting and financial reporting function during a phase of significant growth and transformation. This executive will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including GAAP and statutory reporting, the financial close, general ledger and consolidations, reinsurance and investment accounting, internal controls, and audit and regulatory coordination. The role is not limited to traditional CAO duties; the ideal candidate will be a seasoned insurance finance operator with a proven track record of leading a complex accounting organization and driving the necessary infrastructure improvements to support the company's expansion. A key focus for the Chief Accounting Officer will be to enhance the finance operating model, encompassing people, processes, systems, and data. The successful candidate will be instrumental in modernizing the general ledger and consolidation environment, strengthening reporting and data flows, and increasing automation to improve the efficiency and scalability of the accounting function. Experience in leading finance-system implementations, operating-model improvements, and transformation initiatives is essential. The role also requires close collaboration with other finance functions such as actuarial, FP&A, treasury, tax, and investments, and a deep understanding of how accounting integrates with the broader finance organization. International subsidiary oversight, regulatory reporting, and governance experience are valuable assets for this position.
