About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Accounting Officer to lead and enhance its accounting function in line with the firm's growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting, reporting, and controls across a complex organizational structure, including corporate entities, institutional investment vehicles, and a real estate investment trust. This role demands a hands-on leader with a proven track record in building scalable processes, developing strong teams, and enhancing financial systems within a growing investment or credit platform. The Chief Accounting Officer will work closely with senior leadership and investment teams to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of the company's accounting and treasury operations. Key responsibilities for the Chief Accounting Officer at the company include leading and managing the accounting function, taking ownership of accounting and reporting for institutional investment vehicles, driving the audit process, and leading the treasury function. The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting, particularly with a Big Four or national accounting firm, and experience in multi-entity organizations. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline is required, with a CPA designation strongly preferred. The role also involves partnering with senior stakeholders on budgeting, financial planning, and analytical initiatives, as well as driving continuous improvement of the finance and accounting infrastructure. The Chief Accounting Officer will be expected to maintain strong oversight of core accounting operations and to lead, mentor, and develop the accounting organization.
