Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Tech performs decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies to ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital protocols. This role supports operating room staff by maintaining sterile processing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Sanitize and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment following established procedures.
• Operate sterilization and cleaning machinery to ensure proper sterilization of medical tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of processed supplies.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate equipment needs and readiness.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and safety regulations.
• Prepare and package supplies for sterilization and distribution.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience or certification in sterile processing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of sterilization equipment and infection control practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
