Interim Staff / SEnior Accountant - AP/AR

Interim Staff or Senior Accountant – AP or AR Our client, an investment-focused organization, is seeking an Interim Staff or Senior Accountant to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and broader accounting operations during a transitional period. This position is hybrid, 3 days/week at their office in San Francisco, CA; however, our client will also consider remote candidates who can work PST hours. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Support general ledger activities, including reconciliations and journal entries Assist with periodic expense reporting and financial analysis Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting processes and workflows Support reporting improvements and optimization of financial systems Participate in projects focused on automation and operational efficiency Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to gather data and resolve issues Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend scalable solutions Support ongoing accounting operations while helping stabilize workflows during a transition period Maintain accuracy and completeness of financial records and supporting documentation Requirements Strong experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and reconciliations Experience at the Staff or Senior Accountant level Ability to perform hands-on transactional work while contributing to process improvements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and provide recommendations in ambiguous environments Experience working with accounting systems or expense/reporting tools preferred Strong Excel and analytical skills Compensation Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training Licensure and certifications Office location and other geographic considerations Other business and organizational needs As required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
