Inside the Role Inside the Driver Experience Customer Domain, the role develops HMI platforms for our Daimler Truck vehicle products for our global brands and markets. We provide innovative HMI solutions to our customers and their drivers. This position is for an Infotainment Integration Engineer, a global function owner who ensures quality delivery on time. Position offers a starting salary range of $86,000 – $110,000 USD, pay dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. What You Drive at DTNA Lead the global development of HMI component functions (e.g., camera integration, personalization, infotainment) Create technical concepts, requirements, and specifications; coordinate projects; support implementation and validation Align and manage scope definition and scope changes, including bug fixes Align, create, and manage requirements and specifications, including functional and non‑functional aspects Ensure implementation and validation/verification of deliverables with internal and external partners Create, align, track and maintain related timelines Coordinate global stakeholders (e.g., requesters, internal teams, suppliers, projects) Oversee project responsibilities, including communication, milestone planning, and risk management to meet on‑time delivery goals Create documentation, reports, and presentations Knowledge You Should Bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology related field (e.g., Electrical Engineering) 3+ years in function development and/or system integration Strong background in features, systems, and functions development, including processes, methodologies, and tools Experience with project management Experience with automotive development processes Experience with engineering of commercial vehicles Analytical, logical thinking, and problem‑solving skills Tools: Vector tools, Monaco, Diagnostic Link, Jira, Confluence, Cplace, MS Office Strong communication and team coordination skills across global teams, especially with the US, Germany, and India, considering different cultural backgrounds Proactive, confident, independent attitude Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change Exceptional Candidates Might Have Experience Several years in Daimler Truck HMI component development Experience as Daimler Truck feature owner, system owner, or function owner Experience in engineering of Daimler Truck products Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location: Portland, OR, US.
