Position Overview
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive leader of the Gordon County Child Advocacy & Sexual Assault Center, responsible for advancing a high-performing, compliant, and mission-driven organization that delivers coordinated, trauma-informed services to children and adult survivors.
This role requires a strategic, systems-oriented leader who can stabilize operations, strengthen multidisciplinary team (MDT) partnerships, ensure rigorous compliance with National Children's Alliance (NCA) and Children’s Advocacy Centers of Georgia (CACGA) standards, and build a sustainable, growth-focused organization in partnership with the Board of Directors. This position will provide oversight to the management of federal grant awards through the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC).

The Executive Director is ultimately accountable for organizational integrity, culture, external relationships, and strategic direction, while ensuring strong internal oversight of finance, compliance, and programmatic performance.

Key Leadership Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership & Strategy
•    Lead the development and execution of a clear strategic vision aligned with CAC/SAC best practices and implementation of the agency’s strategic plan
•    Drive organizational growth, program expansion, and long-term sustainability 
•    Establish a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement 
•    Serve as the primary liaison to the Board, ensuring alignment between governance and operations 

Human Resources & Organizational Culture  
•    Build, lead, and retain a high-performing, trauma-informed team 
•    Establish clear expectations, performance management systems, and accountability structures 
•    Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, policies, and best practices 
•    Address personnel issues promptly and professionally, including conflict resolution and corrective action 
•    Foster a culture that balances support, structure, and accountability 

Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Leadership
•    Serve as the primary leader and convener of MDT partnerships, including law enforcement, DFCS, prosecutors, medical providers, and community stakeholders 
•    Strengthen trust, communication, and collaboration across partner agencies 
•    Ensure MDT operations align with NCA standards and state protocols 
•    Represent the organization as a credible, professional leader within the judicial circuit 

Compliance, Accreditation & Risk Management
•    Ensure full compliance with NCA accreditation standards and CACGA requirements 
•    Maintain strong internal oversight of policies, procedures, and documentation practices 
•    Identify organizational risks and implement corrective actions proactively 
•    Oversee preparation for audits, site reviews, and monitoring processes 
•    Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and grant-related compliance requirements 

Strategic Financial Oversight & Grant Accountability
•    Provide executive-level oversight of financial health, budgeting, and cash flow 
•    Interpret financial reports and ensure informed decision-making by the Board 
•    Maintain accountability for grant performance, allowability, and reporting compliance 
•    Collaborate with outsourced financial and grant management partners (e.g., Good Day Consultants) to ensure: 
o    Strong internal controls 
o    Accurate reporting 
o    Compliance with all funding requirements 

Board Partnership & Governance Support
•    Maintain strong, transparent communication with the Board of Directors 
•    Support Board development, committee engagement, and governance best practices 
•    Provide timely, accurate reporting on organizational performance, risks, and opportunities 
•    Assist the Board in strategic decision-making and policy development 
•    Facilitate staff inclusion in Board operations where appropriate 

Community Relations & Resource Development
•    Serve as the public face of the organization in the community 
•    Cultivate relationships with funders, donors, and key stakeholders 
•    Support fundraising strategy and diversification efforts 
•    Advocate for the organization’s mission at the local and state levels 
•    Prioritize strategic partnerships for improved client outcomes 

Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Public Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field) 
•    Minimum of 5–7 years of senior leadership experience in a nonprofit, CAC, SAC, or related field 
•    Demonstrated experience in: 
o    Staff leadership and HR management 
o    Complex partnership environments (e.g., MDTs) 
o    Organizational leadership during periods of transition or growth 
o    Conflict management
•    Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and victim services 

Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience working within a CAC and/or sexual assault services environment 
•    Familiarity with NCA accreditation and CACGA standards 
•    Experience overseeing federally funded programs (VOCA, OVW, etc.) 
•    Proven ability to lead organizations through operational improvement or restructuring
