Hospice Registered Nurse Preceptor

Role Overview Combine compassionate hospice nursing with mentorship to develop future clinicians. As a Hospice Nurse Preceptor, you'll deliver personalized end-of-life care to patients and families, while guiding new nurses through onboarding, ongoing coaching, and professional growth. Your expertise ensures exceptional patient outcomes and fosters clinical excellence within the team. Key Responsibilities Manage a patient caseload, providing care from admission through visits in various settings. Mentor and train new clinicians, offering orientation, coaching, and remedial education. Collaborate with clinical leadership and education teams to promote best practices and quality standards. Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and clinical improvement. Qualifications and Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current RN license. Minimum of 2 years' experience in hospice or home health care. Strong nursing skills, leadership ability, and excellent communication. Ability to handle multiple priorities, assess patient needs, and work collaboratively. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance required. Preferred Qualifications BSN degree preferred. Additional Information Location in Jackson, MI, with travel within the service area. Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
