Physical Therapist

Job Summary A member of the multi-disciplinary team that works in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities toward the goal of coping with disability and improving functioning in the activities of daily living. The above statement reflects the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the position. Skills checklist will reflect competencies that will be measured during the orientation and annually. Information obtained will be assessed and evaluated by the department manager by observation and/or testing. Corrective action will be provided to ensure compliance with and continuance of current employees’ knowledge and skills. Qualifications Education: Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program approved by the Louisiana State Board of Physical Therapy Examiner or its equivalent. Currently licensed by the State of Louisiana. Experience: 1-2 years (preferred). Skills: Effective interpersonal written and verbal skills, psychological sensitivity, supervisory, and instructional skills. Must be able to work effectively with patients of all age groups, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and geriatric.
