About the Team The Workday Analytics UX team modernizes how humans and computers work together. Our analytics products help customers make sense of complex data and guide data-driven decisions. We keep product teams focused on delivering maximum value in this space. About the Role As a Design Manager you will direct a team of product designers tackling enterprise challenges. Your primary responsibilities are design team development and design direction. This includes hiring, coaching, mentoring, empowering, and unblocking your team, as well as providing design direction through feedback, product definition, collaboration across teams, and driving simplification and big thinking. You will empower designers to generate multiple concepts and evolve them into complete, well-documented solutions that align with team and business goals. You should push for simplification, maintain a clear vision, move with speed, and uphold high quality standards. Areas of Responsibility Inspiring and mentoring team members, helping them grow in their careers, championing and highlighting their work Growing the team by hiring diverse and passionate people that complement the existing team Guiding the team in their work, balancing load, stepping in to help with design deliverables Supporting the team in envisioning and delivering end-to-end experiences that help users feel connected, productive, and successful at work Critiquing design work and providing actionable feedback to ensure quality Collaborating cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and other design/research groups to ensure a smooth product development process About You Basic Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience as a UX lead 2+ years managing UX designers A portfolio of design work/case studies Other Qualifications Experience shepherding designs throughout an agile development process Strong cross-functional collaboration skills Solid understanding of design for various platforms and device types Experience designing or coaching teams to design mobile-first Strong storytelling skills to facilitate communication about the work BA/BS or Master's degree in a User-Centered Design or related field preferred Office and Benefits A Bit About Our Vancouver Office: New space in a prime downtown Vancouver location with great views, easy access to public transit, 250+ employees and growing across many Workday product areas, 50+ Analytics team members and growing. This role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or other incentives as part of total compensation. Compensation offers are based on geography, experience, skills, duties, and business need.
