Your Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing both standardized tests and observational assessments.
• Design tailored treatment plans that address immediate goals while also considering long-term needs related to communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Offer individualized speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language development, fluency, voice capabilities, and swallowing safety.
• Engage collaboratively with a dynamic team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure a synchronized approach to patient care.
• Guide patients and families with educational resources to bolster their progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Assist, when needed, with inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a holistic continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain precise documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay informed and enhance your practice through ongoing education and collaborative peer learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• State license for practicing as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Desirable: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
