You will oversee all full-cycle accounting functions, ensure strict GAAP compliance, and directly manage a team of 5 to 10 accounting professionals. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in construction accounting, project costing, and industry-specific software tools. Local candidates are preferred for this on-site role.ResponsibilitiesInclude but not limited to:Report Directly to CFOTeam Leadership: Manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of 10 accounting staff members.Financial Oversight: Oversee all full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.GAAP Compliance: Ensure all financial statements and practices adhere strictly to GAAP standards.WIP Management: Lead the Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and revenue recognition processes.Software Optimization: Utilize Sage 100 and Autodesk to streamline project tracking and financial reporting.Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage corporate budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.Audit & Tax: Coordinate year-end audits and tax preparation with external CPA firms.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience.Location: Must be local to the Escondido, CA area (commutable distance).Industry: Solid background working in accounting for a General Contractor.Software: Hands-on experience with Sage 100 Construction and Autodesk software.Management: Proven experience managing or supervising accounting staff.BenefitsCompetitive RatesMedicalDentalVision401k*This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position.
