Physiatry Faculty Position - Spinal Cord Injury Emphasis

The Department Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UC Davis School ofMedicine is recruiting for a full-time (100% time) academic Physiatrist. Theposition will serve as a faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or FullProfessor rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor track. The initialappointment will be commensurate with experience in an academic setting. Requirements This position will provide both inpatient and outpatient Physical Medicine andRehabilitation patient care with a focus on neurorehabilitation. Outpatientclinics (20-50%) will focus on spinal cord injury, spasticity management andgeneral PM&R care. Inpatient responsibilities to include adult acute inpatientrehabilitation wards and consults with PM&R resident support. This position will provide both didactic sessions and clinical supervision forstudents and house staff, as well as participate in departmental meetings,conferences, hospital and departmental committees. This position willparticipate in evening/weekend/holiday call for the UC Davis PM&R inpatientrehabilitation call. Basic Qualifications The candidate must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree and have completed anapproved Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program and beboard certified or eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Boardcertification or eligibility in spinal cord injury medicine (SCIM) is preferred, butnot required. The candidate must be eligible for licensure in the State ofCalifornia and/or have an active California medical license prior to appointmentstart date. Candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within adiverse environment and adhere to University policy and procedures.Demonstrated teaching experience in an academic clinical setting is preferred. The salary range for this position is $247,000-$318,000 depending on finalappointment for academic rank. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
