Assistant Property Manager | Owner/Operator Residential Rentals | Westchester Top Westchester County owner-operator is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a ~600-unit residential portfolio. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Property Management experience managing small- to mid-sized rental assets in New York, with direct oversight of at least 300 units. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, responding to inquiries, concerns, and service requests via phone, email, and in person while maintaining a high level of customer service. Assist with the day-to-day management and operations of a residential portfolio, providing administrative and operational support to the Property Manager and broader management team. Process monthly rent charges, post rental income, apply credits, adjustments, and late fees, and maintain accurate resident account records. Monitor accounts receivable and delinquency reports, conduct resident outreach regarding outstanding balances, and coordinate with accounting staff on payment plans, escalations, and legal proceedings when necessary. Manage the lease renewal process for assigned properties, including preparing renewal offers, tracking responses, and updating lease and resident records. Support leasing activities by assisting with application processing, lease administration, and move-in documentation as needed. Coordinate maintenance requests from initial intake through completion, ensuring timely communication with residents, maintenance staff, and third-party vendors. Track and follow up on work orders to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and resident concerns are fully resolved. Prepare, distribute, and maintain property-related notices, correspondence, reports, and resident documentation. Assist with move-out procedures, turnover coordination, and unit readiness to support efficient occupancy transitions. Maintain accurate property records and ensure all resident, leasing, and operational files are updated and organized. Collaborate closely with property management, accounting, leasing, maintenance, and vendor partners to support overall property performance and resident satisfaction. Requirements 2+ years of residential property management experience. Understanding of the New York residential market. Experience working in mixed use buildings. Yardi Voyager is a plus.
