This position is located at 6200 Gordon Food Service Dr, Concord, NC 28027 Position Summary Provides recruiting and selection, training and development, employee relations, and Gordon Food Service (GFS) cultural development advice, assistance and consultation to other departmental leaders at an expert level, serving as a strategic partner who uses workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and recommend initiatives that support business objectives. Ensures that practices established by Home Office Human Resources are implemented and followed. Essential Functions Strategic Partnership and Workforce Analytics Analyzes and interprets HR metrics such as turnover, retention, hiring, and AAP data to identify trends, inform leadership decisions, and launch targeted initiatives (e.g., retention strategies, staffing models). Builds consultative partnerships with sales and operational leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives. Performance Management and Employee Relations Educates and consults leadership on the Performance Management process, understands and leverages the Talent Management Suite, coaches employees and managers on employee relations performance, practice or policy issues, promotes the open door policy. Responds to, investigates and determines course of action for complaints from GFS employees or others in regards to Gordon Food Service. Learning and Development Educates and assists leaders on the GFS Leadership Development initiatives. Facilitates training and monitors required leadership training and development for completion and effectiveness. Utilizes TMS and LMS to manage learning and development activities. Compensation and Benefits Understands GFS compensation practices and policies and ensures leaders understand how to properly implement. Assists with process for annual compensation changes and bonus payouts. Plans and supports benefits enrollment processes as well as educating employees and leaders on GFS retirement plans, benefits and wellness initiatives. Absence Management Manages and/or supports the administration of Workers Compensation, short and long term disability and FMLA using applicable software to manage processes. Other Duties and Assignments May perform administrative functions related to general human resources responsibilities to include processing unemployment claims, managing the training database, entering new hires and others as required. Administers exit interviews. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Excellent communication, presentation skills and problem solving skills. Thorough understanding of GFS culture, policies and employment-related laws, and regulations. Knowledge of current trends and developments in the field Ability to analyze workforce data and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Demonstrated ability to build consultative partnerships with operational leaders. Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
