Join our growing team as a System Administrator (SaaS), supporting the NGA customer mission.ResponsibilitiesWhat you get to do every day:You will manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. As the Systems Administrator (SA), you will work as part of an elite and agile team responsible for maintaining and improving system functionality through proactive interaction with the customer, comprehensive understanding of their primary GEOINT exploitation system, and knowledge of the production mission. You will provide on-site, on the floor, technical and system administration support through troubleshooting and implementing appropriate solutions to software/hardware anomalies as they occur. You will automate Software deployments, package Software, troubleshoot VDI endpoints, virtual machines and Geospatial/corporate software issues as well as make corrective recommendations as necessary. You should be able to quickly respond to application/hardware related issues, resolve on the spot problems (where possible), replicate the issue for internal analysis/diagnosis, and assist in the preparation of technical documentation that can accurately depict the problem and/or solution for feedback to the team.Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systemsSets up administrator and service accountsMaintains system documentationInteracts with users and evaluates vendor productsMakes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recoveryDevelops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resourcesMay program in an administrative languageDevelops and implements testing strategies and document resultsProvides advice and training to end-usersProvides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff membersMaintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assignedParticipates in special projects as requiredQualificationsClearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI PolyEducation/Experience:Requires Bachelor's degree or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience5-10 years of experience of directly related system administration and analysis experienceRequired Skills:Provides support for maintenance and change requests of all "user facing" devices and systemsAttention to detail, strong organizational skillsStrong writing skills (document creation and note taking)Strong time management skillsAbility to work within a team for projects and/or tasksMulti-mission environment experienceExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to troubleshoot and document various problemsExcellent customer service skillsWhat is ideal?Journeyman knowledge or understanding of the following methodologies:Software package/binary deployment (Tanium, Numecent, XenApp, SCCM/MECM)Service+ experienceThin Client operating systems and virtual hosted desktop OS (AVD/ThinPro/Citrix)Client operating systems (Windows 11)Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Azure Virtual Desktop, ESX/vSphere4, XenDesktop)Advanced Scripting in Python/PowerShellLog Analysis experience for troubleshootingIntelligence Community Experience preferredWhat you can expect from usRecognizing great achievements do not go unnoticed by Bcore through service anniversaries, spot awards, and employee referral bonusesYou'll join a growing organization of passionate, top-shelf, IT engineering professionals with extensive experience in actively developing the technology revolution in the Intelligence communityThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $122,000 - $147,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
