Case Manager & Paralegal (Hybrid)

Carolina Legal Associates is urgently hiring a hybrid Case Manager/ Paralegal/Legal Assistant for a premier boutique Plaintiffs' Personal Injury firm in Columbia, SC. Our client specializes in high-value plaintiffs' cases. Because of this, they need a team member with a sharp eye for detail and fantastic writing skills. This role allows for a hybrid schedule and the office closes Friday afternoons. For the right candidate, fully remote work could be considered. Your supervising attorney handles the heavy legal drafting. Therefore, your daily focus will shift toward investigating, organizing, and client care. You will gather vital information for discovery and requests for production. Meanwhile, you will keep the firm's calendar running smoothly and manage court filings. Most importantly, you will serve as the friendly face and voice guiding clients through a stressful time in their lives. What You Will Do Serve as the primary point of contact for an active caseload. Guide clients through the litigation process with empathy and clear communication. Gather necessary information for discovery and requests for production. Manage docketing and keep the calendar updated with crucial deadlines. File litigation documents accurately in State and Federal Courts, including CM/ECF. Track client medical treatment plans and summarize case materials. Complete the new client intake process efficiently. Answer basic client questions and route complex legal issues to the attorney. What You Need to Succeed A warm, highly approachable personality. You must enjoy talking to clients and making them feel heard! Exceptional writing skills and intense attention to detail. Proven experience with CM/ECF filing in federal court. The ability to interact easily with medical providers and insurance adjusters. Comfort using Microsoft Office, Windows, and standard case management software. An Associate or Bachelor's Degree is a fantastic bonus, though not required.
