Staff Accountant

What Success Looks Like Enjoys working through detailed financial data and takes pride in clean books Follows through on commitments and takes ownership of assigned work Is motivated to grow professionally in a fast‑moving, modern environment Can manage multiple clients and deadlines without losing accuracy Stays curious, asks thoughtful questions, and is comfortable leveraging technology to improve efficiency Supports senior team members by maintaining accurate records, assisting with month‑end close, and preparing reconciliations and reports Key Responsibilities Perform daily bookkeeping activities including transaction entry, account reconciliation, and record maintenance Manage accounts payable and cash‑related tasks such as bill processing, payments, and cash flow support Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts Prepare accrual‑based entries including prepaids and accruals Assist with financial statement preparation for internal review and client discussions Identify opportunities for workflow improvements, automation, and third‑party app integrations Support new client onboarding by setting up accounts, cleaning up historical data, and assisting with system transitions Communicate directly with clients to gather documentation, clarify transactions, and respond to routine accounting questions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience (minimum two years in accounting or bookkeeping roles) Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or NetSuite Comfort working in cloud‑based accounting environments and with modern financial tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets High standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity Ability to pass a background check Preferred but Not Required NetSuite experience (Huge Plus!)
