About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Systems Engineer to join a growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems, designing reliable systems, and working with both cloud-based and on-premise technology.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise storage systems.

In this role, you will help design, maintain, secure, and improve critical IT infrastructure that supports daily business operations.

We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, enjoys taking ownership of projects, and can work independently while collaborating with other IT professionals.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage IT Infrastructure: Design, implement, maintain, and support Windows and Linux servers across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Support Cloud Systems: Help manage and improve cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
• Work with VMware: Support virtual servers, virtualization technologies, and enterprise computing environments.
• Manage Windows Server & Active Directory: Maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policies (GPOs), and other Microsoft infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Serve as a senior technical resource for resolving challenging server, storage, and infrastructure problems.
• Support Enterprise Storage: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot storage systems, including Dell, EMC, and iSCSI technologies.
• Improve System Performance: Identify opportunities to improve system speed, capacity, reliability, and efficiency.
• Automate IT Tasks: Use PowerShell and other scripting tools to streamline processes and improve system administration.
• Maintain System Security: Implement security standards, protect critical systems, and follow IT security best practices.
• Lead Technical Projects: Work with project managers and IT teams to plan, design, and implement infrastructure improvements.
• Document IT Systems: Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, enterprise IT infrastructure, or a similar technical role.
• Strong experience with Windows Server administration and Microsoft Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with VMware and virtualized server environments.
• Experience supporting both on-premise and cloud or hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of enterprise storage systems, server hardware, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and server-related issues.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Windows Group Policy.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain reliable IT systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and nontechnical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dell PowerVault, Dell Blade Servers, EMC storage, or similar enterprise storage technologies.
• Familiarity with Citrix environments.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Experience creating technical documentation, project plans, or statements of work.
• Microsoft certifications or other relevant infrastructure/cloud certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
