This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care. Culinary position will platefood for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Living Community located in Bloomington, MN. \n\nThis full-time culinary services position includes;\n\n 80 hours per two weeks\n Day shift\n Every other weekend\n\nMartin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, we offer 137 units between our Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care. We have an outstanding team of tenured staff. The only thing missing is YOU! Martin Luther Care Center was named Top Nursing Home and Transitional Care Center by US News and World Reports the past two years.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n Food Preparation.\n Properly cook foods to specified temperatures.\n Products meet temperature and quality standards.\n Follow standardized recipes and products to ensure products are consistent in quality and nutritional value.\n Weigh and measure ingredients per standardized recipes\n Use correct portioning utensils.\n Assemble food within specified time frames.\n Production is and meal service is provided in a timely manner.\n Prepare bakery items per standardized recipes.\n Accurately complete tasks listed on daily preparation sheets.\n Assist with the special events.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n One to Three Years\n Must be 18+ years old\n Food Handlers certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days or\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Associate of Arts or Vocational/Technical Training - Food Service\n Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications\n Food Protection Manager certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days or\n Certified Food Protection Manager certificate (CFPM) Must be issued by the State of Minnesota for locations in the state of MN within 90 Days\nQualifications\n$21.84- $30.83 HourlyBenefit Overview\nEbenezer offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
