Overview This opportunity is for rheumatologists who want to practice independently while receiving structured operational support for non‑clinical business functions of their own practice. Physicians own and operate the legal entity of their practice; MedCBO provides non‑clinical administrative services. Physician Responsibilities Provide patient care within the scope of rheumatology practice. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Determine clinical services offered and manage patient experience. Ensure compliance with all applicable clinical quality standards. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination and legal structure guidance. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation and credentialing. Financial reporting and financial infrastructure. Operational workflows, staffing systems, and HR administration. Technology platform implementation, including EHR, telehealth, and clinical workflow tools. Supply‑chain and vendor coordination. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state. Board Certified or Board Eligible in rheumatology (or a specialty appropriate to the services offered). Eligibility for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model and desire to maintain full clinical authority. Preferred Desire for practice ownership and community‑based care. Leadership or program development interests. Location Multiple U.S. markets available, including urban, suburban, and rural settings. Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure and regulatory requirements. Compensation Compensation is generated by the physician‑owned practice and is not a salary.
