Job Summary:
Pediatric Recovery Room Nurse specializing in recovery room pediatrics, located in San Francisco. This position involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) with a focus on high acuity cardiac and other complex cases. The role requires the ability to float to other departments within the healthcare organization as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts starting at 06/18/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts may include days and evenings with varying start times.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, BSN, CPR certification from the American Heart Association, ACLS certification, PALS certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Preoperative / Postoperative Care (Pre-Op / PACU) and Pediatric Critical Care background. References must be submitted at the time of application.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification such as CCRN, CPAN, or CAPA. Prior experience in a community hospital, Level I or Level II trauma experience, and familiarity with inpatient pediatric units are preferred.
• Additional Information: Must be familiar with trachs and home vents; Veinfinder experience preferred. The team cares for a diverse patient population, including adolescents, infants, and adults. The daily census averages 30 patients with approximately 40 visits per day in a 31-bed unit. Unit functions include pediatric heart center responsibilities, with specialized care for EP and Cath high acuity cardiac patients. Orientation includes 72 hours of pre-start training, and there is potential for reassignments within a 75+ mile radius, including float coverage.
