Location : The selected candidate must live centrally in the sales territory of Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, or Mississippi.

This is a field-based sales role supporting customers in this Asphalt Industry. This position will be based in a multi-state territory, and the candidate must live in a state within the territory. A company vehicle, travel and expense card, company cell phone & laptop will be provided.

This role is responsible for driving the growth of equipment, controls, and parts sales to new and existing customers within a defined territory through direct customer interaction, problem-solving, and building long-term relationships.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• A minimum of 5+ years outside sales experience is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand equipment functionality.
• CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Experience in asphalt, construction, or heavy equipment industry is a plus
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and listening skills
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving history.
• Applicant should thrive in a team environment and while working independently.
• Self-Motivator with the ability and mindset to learn new skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent Stansteel at industry events, trade shows, and state conventions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, while collaborating with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction with our products and services, from the order to the delivery and beyond.
• Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the current customer base by working with management in developing sales strategies and new account targeting.
• Perform various duties including presenting product quotations, overcoming objections, providing technical assistance, consultative support and providing excellent customer service.
• Analyze competition in territory, devise a sales strategy, and communicate sales strategy to management.
• Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
• Document all sales activity performed in our internal Customer Relationship Management tool for ongoing evaluation of the new business pipeline and measurement of sales results.

This is a commission eligible role. The estimated total compensation range is $125,000 - $250,000+ annually.
