Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, focusing on high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reacting to changes in status as necessary.
• Implement care plans and document patient progress accurately.
• Participate in team meetings, contributing to the discussion on patient care improvements and strategies.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in compliance with NLC guidelines.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting required.
• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is essential.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Large hospital experience is a must.
• First-time travelers are not accepted unless they possess over 5 years of experience in the specialty.
• Local candidates are not accepted due to radius restrictions.

Schedule

• Days: 4x12 hour shifts, from 07:00 to 19:00.
• Weekend requirements will be determined as needed.
• On-call duties may be assigned as necessary.

Team Dynamics

The nursing staff will operate under a team nursing model, facilitating a patient ratio of 1:12, which effectively divides the workload between two RNs, an LPN, and a medication nurse, resulting in a more manageable patient care experience.
