Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardio Vascular ICU

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardio Vascular ICU is responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role requires expertise in CV ICU protocols and assessments, and the ability to manage complex cardiovascular systems.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and thermoregulation.
• Monitor and manage acute patient conditions such as CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, and Impella.
• Conduct Post Cardiac Surgery care not directly from the OR, and Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention.
• Manage Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring and Valve Replacement/Repair.
• Administer CVVHD/CRRT, IV therapy, medications, and emergency interventions.
• Provide CVA/Acute Stroke Management and assist with respiratory management including BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator care.
• Perform interpretations of ABGs, suctioning, ventilator management, infection prevention, and isolation precautions.

Requirements:

• 3 years of CV ICU experience with passing EKG test.
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proficiency in Epic and other required CVI ICU skills.
• Experience in interpretation/management of complex cardiovascular procedures and conditions.
• Ability to work every other weekend and during holidays such as Memorial Day.
• Submit an updated resume, CV ICU skills checklist, supervisor reference, and verification of IL license upon application.
