About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a specialty distribution business. The successful candidate will be a passionate and committed leader with a strong commercial orientation, capable of honoring the company's past while driving its future. Responsibilities for the CEO include leading the business through a transformation and scale-up phase, with a focus on executing a robust M&A strategy and professionalizing the business. The role demands a top executive leader with a background in specialty distribution, ideally with experience in a mid-market revenue range, and a proven track record in marketing, strategy, and operations. While not mandatory, experience in private equity and solid integration experience in M&A are preferred. The ideal CEO for the company will have a tenure of 20-30+ years, demonstrating progressive career success, and will be instrumental in capitalizing on the company's reputation and structural scale advantages in a highly fragmented market. The candidate should be prepared to lead the company through a period of significant investment and growth, both organically and inorganically, and be adept at capturing a disproportionate share of a growing market with external tailwinds. The role is pivotal in the transition to private-equity ownership, and the CEO will be expected to fully professionalize the business as it scales.
