Position Overview The Intern will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative functions within the branch. Primary Responsibilities Answers and directs phone lines Greets office guests Collects and sorts mail Provides administrative support to all team members as necessary Performs assignments to carry out construction engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities Assists Project Management, Superintendents, Estimators, and Office Staff in all areas of Construction administrative related duties Creates and maintains centralized files for project records (including digital) Attends and takes minutes for the development team as requested Helps in the preparation of reports, including monthly development reports Contacts and coordinates with Suppliers and Subcontractors Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Display a high level of organization and prioritization for tasks at hand Demonstrates flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines through analytical problem solving Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment Display superior written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills Maintain a tactful, mature, and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse personnel Education and/or Experience High School diploma or equivalent Intern experience/coursework in construction projects high volume environment Experience with Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Microsoft Project Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
