365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum-to-permanent opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa. This assignment offers inpatient-focused GI coverage with procedural responsibilities and a clear pathway to a long-term position.

This is an excellent opportunity for providers interested in transitioning into a permanent role while maintaining flexible locum coverage.

Schedule Model

• 24-hour beeper call (offsite)
• 7:00 AM 7:00 AM coverage
• Ongoing schedule with consistent call coverage

Coverage Needed

• ASAP start ongoing
• Locum-to-perm opportunity (long-term commitment required)
• Consistent inpatient call coverage

Practice Overview

• Hospital-based Gastroenterology coverage
• Adult patient population only
• EMR: Cerner

Clinical Responsibilities

• Inpatient GI consults and rounding
• Endoscopic procedures and interventions
• Perform approximately 34 procedures per day
• ERCP procedures required
• EUS procedures highly preferred
• Management of acute GI conditions and hospital consults

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency)
• Active Iowa license or IMLC
• ACLS certification
• ERCP required
• EUS highly preferred
• Willingness to work inpatient setting
• Must be interested in locum-to-permanent transition
• Clean malpractice and background history
