Sr. Claims Manager-Litigation
Amwins Specialty Auto (MGA, part of Amwins) is seeking a Sr. Claims Manager-Litigation to join. Great opportunity to lead a talented team.
ASA is committed to the personal lines auto business. They offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of our insureds with flexible terms and an array of discounts. ASA accepts multiple types of licenses, including no license.
Hybrid role (3 days in-office) based in Plano, TX.
Job Duties:
- Manages a team of 4-5 senior litigation and major loss adjusters.
- Reports to the Director of Claims.
- Directs litigation strategy for active lawsuits including liability defense, coverage positions, and settlement posture.
- Works with Director of Claims to strategize on litigated claims handling.
- Understands and communicates risk management.
- Assigns and manages defense counsel and controls expenses.
- Reviews legal budgets, invoices, and case progress.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 3+ years of experience in litigation management.
- Current/Active Texas adjuster's license.
- Effective communication skills including written communication.
- MGA/TPA and nonstandard auto experience is a plus.
