Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team in the San Fernando Valley . The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of corporate accounting experience with a strong background in full-cycle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting support.

This position requires an organized and proactive professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Perform invoice verification and three-way matching.
• Manage ACH, wire transfers, and check runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor files and support new vendor onboarding.
• Assist with annual 1099 preparation and reporting.

Accounts Receivable

• Generate and distribute customer invoices.
• Post and reconcile customer payments.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
• Work closely with customers to maintain positive relationships and timely collections.

General Accounting

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
• Support external audits and financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Assist with process improvements and special accounting projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of corporate accounting experience .
• Strong experience overseeing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or corporate environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations is highly desirable.
