Warehouse Shipping And Receiving

General Summary: Responsible for proper receiving, warehousing, and shipping of materials and product. Responsible for inventory accuracy within a given warehouse section.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare orders to be pulled from work orders to optimize production/utilization of time.
• Prepare orders in the stock transfer and parts areas for shipping.
• Complete SAP and FED UPS shipping transactions.
• Pull parts issued from work orders and stages in proper area to include assembly, machine shop or other assigned area. Notify supervisor or stockroom coordinator of any shortages in materials.
• Responsible for maintaining proper counts of parts pulled, stocked or staged.
• Transfer parts to proper locations in SAP.
• Receive incoming materials. Verify proper counts per packing slip.
• Responsible for stocking parts in the proper location. Verify and check stock according to business needs to insure there are no shortages of parts needed for producing product.
• Within the scope of the job requirements, required to adhere to the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company Policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
• May perform other duties and assignments as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Job Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years warehouse/stockroom experience in a computerized environment.
• Must be computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and SAP or similar systems.
• Must be able to take and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing for the purposes of maintaining proper inventory, counts and to maximize shipping/receiving performance.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane proficiently.
• Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
• Must be able to be the backup for shipping/receiving/or Logistics Coordinator and be at level 3 or higher within skills matrix of most of the processes.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma
• 5+ years of warehousing experience

This position requires frequent overtime.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $18.00 Per Hour
