Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Edward Mann Finance Analyst (Investment Accounting) Remote within the United States Edward Mann are seeking on behalf of our client, who is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Analyst with strong investment accounting experience to join their growing accounting and finance team. This role plays a key part in managing complex investment accounting processes including securities, loans, derivatives, and other structured financial instruments while ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and process efficiency. The Finance Analyst will also support system improvements and contribute to strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee recurring financial processes, including investment accounting, daily and monthly reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP and applicable regulatory standards. Support investment accounting activities related to securities, loans, derivatives, and structured products. Contribute to system implementations, upgrades, and integration efforts related to finance and accounting platforms. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data, maintaining strong internal controls. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external parties to support reviews, compliance, and reporting requirements. Participate in special projects and deliver insightful financial analysis to inform business strategy. Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and technical support. Stay current on accounting standards, industry regulations, and best practices impacting investment accounting and financial reporting. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting, with direct exposure to investment accounting. Experience within financial services, asset management, insurance, or a public company environment strongly preferred. CPA designation, CFA, or prior public accounting experience advantageous. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and investment-related accounting standards. Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial/accounting systems and reporting tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively collaborating with teams across the organization.
