Many topical and pharmaceutical treatments are costly and have serious side effects. With phototherapy, payers have a low-cost alternative, providers have a simple and effective solution, and patients have a safe, easy, and natural alternative with the option of use in the comfort of their own home.

We are expanding our journey to help patients, improve clinical outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and expand market access. Phothera offers phototherapy devices for clinic and home treatment use under the guidance and prescription of an authorized care provider.  We are looking for entrepreneurial leaders with a strong bias-for-action to accelerate adoption and growth.

The Manufacturing Engineer Technician assists in the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes. This role works closely with engineers, production staff, and quality teams to support production operations, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.

• Assist manufacturing engineers with process development and improvement projects.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support the installation, testing, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process-related issues.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and technical reports.
• Conduct time studies and process capability analyses.
• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality or production issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production departments to resolve operational challenges.
• Support implementation of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Train operators on new equipment, procedures, and manufacturing processes when required.
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with data collection and analysis tools
• Understanding of quality systems and statistical process control (SPC)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing, production, maintenance, or engineering support experience preferred
