Job Description: The Quality Director will lead the company’s quality function and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of its quality management systems. Responsibilities Maintain compliance with industry and customer requirements Lead internal and external audits Oversee quality assurance and quality control practices Develop employee training programs Manage a small team of exempt-level quality professionals Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership to maintain the highest standards of product quality and performance Qualifications Extensive experience in quality management, quality assurance, and quality control within a regulated manufacturing environment Deep, hands-on knowledge of AS9100 is required Prior defense, DoD, aerospace, or similarly regulated manufacturing experience is strongly preferred Previous experience managing a small team of exempt-level employees Strong background conducting quality audits and improving internal processes and systems Experience developing and leading training initiatives Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and industry quality standards Experience in precision manufacturing, optical systems, or a similar technical environment is preferred Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field is required Advanced degrees and relevant quality certifications are a plus The company offers competitive compensation and benefits.
