Division Order Analyst Travel: This role requires occasional overnight travel and involves a combination of standard office-based work and field exposure in industrial environments. Analyze and interpret deeds, probate documentation, trust agreements, assignments, title opinions, and related documentation to determine mineral ownership. Obtain and interpret curative documentation necessary to resolve title defects and other title-related issues. Calculate and maintain Divisions of Interest to support accurate and timely royalty payments. Create Division Orders and supplemental Division Orders. Review outside-operated Division Orders to verify the accuracy of decimal interests. Maintain and correct Divisions of Interest resulting from payouts, recompletions, and other ownership changes. Monitor and update UMIs to reflect changes in ownership, lease agreements, and unit designations. Manage cross-unit ownership and allocation-well ownership matters. Position Summary The Division Order Analyst supports the upstream business as a key member of the Land Administration team, with responsibility for analyzing ownership, maintaining accurate divisions of interest, resolving title-related matters, and supporting the timely and accurate payment of royalties. Working across Land Administration and with E&P, Accounting, Marketing, Legal, owners, vendors, and other stakeholders, this role requires significant Division Order experience, strong title-analysis capabilities, and the ability to independently manage detailed ownership matters with a high degree of accuracy. Essential Responsibilities Title, Ownership & Division Order Administration Analyze and interpret deeds, probate documentation, trust agreements, assignments, title opinions, and related documentation to determine mineral ownership. Obtain and interpret curative documentation necessary to resolve title defects and other title-related issues. Calculate and maintain Divisions of Interest to support accurate and timely royalty payments. Create Division Orders and supplemental Division Orders. Review outside-operated Division Orders to verify the accuracy of decimal interests. Maintain and correct Divisions of Interest resulting from payouts, recompletions, and other ownership changes. Monitor and update UMIs to reflect changes in ownership, lease agreements, and unit designations. Manage cross-unit ownership and allocation-well ownership matters. Land Administration & Revenue Support Maintain and update Joint Interest Billing decks based on information received. Research suspense items in support of the escheat process. Respond to inquiries from interest owners and coordinate with Accounting, Lease Records, Marketing, and other functions as necessary to resolve questions and ownership matters. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including owners, vendors, and other customers. Support special projects and other Land Administration initiatives as needed. Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with professionals across Land Administration, E&P, Accounting, Marketing, Legal, and other business functions. Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Division Order and ownership matters. Assist with the training and mentoring of less experienced Division Order Analysts. Maintain a high standard of accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism when working with interest owners and internal stakeholders. Supervision & Professional Development Operates as an experienced member of the Land Administration team, with the ability to perform work accurately and timely with little to no supervision. Receives meaningful cross-functional exposure to E&P, Accounting, Marketing, Legal, Lease Records, and other areas of the upstream business. Provides training and mentorship to less experienced Division Order Analysts. CDOA certification is preferred but not required. Minimum of 5+ years of Division Order experience required. East Texas title experience required. Strong technical knowledge of Division Order administration, title analysis, mineral ownership, and related processes. Demonstrated analytical expertise and the ability to produce accurate, timely work with limited supervision. Proficiency with spreadsheets for well setup and the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability and willingness to learn additional applications. Experience with Quorum is preferred. Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary professionals and individuals at all organizational levels. Demonstrated patience, professionalism, and care when responding to interest-owner inquiries. CDOA certification is a plus. The position is primarily office-based and classified as light physical work. Occasional overnight travel may be required, and the position may require availability by cell phone during working and non-working hours.
