About the Position

Job Title: Intellectual Developmental Disabilities Supervisor Profession: Supervisor Specialty: Social Work Duration: Full-time Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: - Minimum of one (1) year experience in examining, evaluating and treating children and adolescents. - Minimum of one (1) year of experience with intellectual and developmental disability diagnoses utilizing relevant treatment modalities. - One year of experience in a supervisory capacity is highly preferred. - Experience in working with Waivers is highly preferred. - Experience with electronic medical records is highly preferred. License: - Acceptable licensures include LMSW, LLP, or LPC from the State of Michigan. - Must meet the requirements for Children's Mental Health Professional and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional within 120 days of hire. Must-Have: - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to be organized, creative, and flexible. - Capability to provide non-judgmental, culturally competent, and unconditional care. - Valid driver's license and favorable driving record. - Ability to appropriately handle crisis situations. Description: The Intellectual Developmental Disabilities Supervisor is responsible for all administrative and clinical functioning of the program. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, with a minimum of one late evening shift per week. Additional hours are expected including evenings and weekends based on client and program needs. The supervisor will provide standard and clinical supervision to staff members utilizing various methodologies. Crisis situations will be managed and processed in collaboration with program staff and clients. The supervisor will maintain electronic medical record training, assist staff with questions, and train new staff. All treatment records and reports pertaining to client services will be reviewed to provide direction for documentation improvement. Management of staff and department functions will include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and termination recommendations. On-boarding and training staff, adjusting work hours, and addressing staff complaints will be essential duties. Participation in monthly quality management committee meetings and implementation of quality improvement initiatives is required. Supervision of case program consultations with staff will also be a responsibility. Systems will be maintained to ensure compliance with program requirements from funding sources. The supervisor is required to ensure staff maintain their credentials and training hours regularly. Monthly supervision with staff is mandated, along with attendance at community meetings and training sessions. Collaboration with the program director and finance department will ensure funding and budgetary guidelines are met. A professional code of ethics must be followed throughout all duties. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
