Associate Director/Director - Wealth Advisory (Long Island/Queens)

What You'll DoThis role drives sales activities for Principal Asset Management throughout Long Island/Queens/Non-Manhattan boroughs. This position partners closely with the Internal Wholesaler within the territory for collective success in growing advisor relationships. Accountable for achieving sales targets and managing broker–dealer relationships within all channels covering our ETFs, Separately Managed Accounts and Mutual Funds.Other responsibilities will include:Develop, recommend and implement sales plans, activity reports and rotation schedules with a focus on growing market shareMay provide input on marketing, product development, shareholder/broker communications and integration of campaigns with broker dealers and fund wholesaling teamsHighest level of integrity and presentation skillsIf you have extensive knowledge of the financial markets, investment products, and building advisor relationships – then this may be the job for you!*Heavy incentive component in addition to salary listed.Who You AreBachelor's degree or equivalent required and 2+ years sales-specific industry experience at the Associate Director level (investment products, capital markets, partnering with advisors).As a Director, 4+ years sales-specific industry experience needed.FINRA licensing required, including SIE or equivalent and Series7.Series63 required within 45 days.Advanced designations preferred (e.g., CFP, CFA, CIMA, CAIA).Excellent knowledge of investment products and financial markets required.Strong interpersonal skills, consultative skills, advisor-management expertise, and analytical skills are required.Must have strong presentation, oral and written communication skills.Good training and motivational skills are necessary.Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.Travel required, including overnight stays.Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries.Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)$92,400–$100,000 / yearTime Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and gives the opportunity to take paid time away from the office for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
