Licensed Vocational Nurse /Interim Housing

Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Starting Pay: $35.00 per hour About Us We are a compassionate housing facility committed to providing a safe, structured, and supportive environment for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders. We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who is passionate about client safety, behavioral health, and whole-person care to join our multidisciplinary team. Position Overview The LVN will play a critical role in supporting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents in our housing program. This position requires a compassionate professional who can provide trauma-informed nursing care, monitor behavioral and medical concerns, and contribute to a safe and recovery-focused environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in working with vulnerable populations, including individuals with mental health conditions, co-occurring disorders, and substance use histories. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and treatment support as prescribed. Monitor residents for changes in physical health, mental status, mood, and behavior, ensuring timely intervention and reporting. Support client safety through ongoing observation, wellness checks, and crisis awareness. Recognize and report signs of psychiatric decompensation, substance use relapse, withdrawal symptoms, or medical emergencies. Collaborate with ICMS staff, behavioral health providers, and the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in internal and external databases, including Diversion and MedCall systems. Promote medication compliance, health education, harm reduction, and healthy coping strategies. Provide compassionate, trauma-informed support while maintaining professional boundaries and safety standards. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and trainings focused on behavioral health, recovery, and quality care. Qualifications Experience working in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, housing programs, or community health preferred. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and client-centered approaches. Strong observational, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in high-stress situations. Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.CHAMP, Diversion Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Additional Requirements Must be willing to work between two facilities located within one mile of each other.
