As a Level 3 Systems Engineer, you'll be recognized as a senior professional with comprehensive knowledge across various job functions. Essential Functions: * Responsible for the engineering ownership of SATCOM VSAT product lines. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * System level design and development, bill of material (BOM) documentation, and sustainment of existing terminals with the SATCOM product portfolio * Custom system configuration and overall system integration development per customer and program requirements. * Design and Development of system level interconnect diagrams and cable assemblies. * Direct manufacturing support of product line issues and root cause analysis. * Customer support of technical issues on fielded systems and units. * Direct programs and product management support. * Ability to work with outside vendors to perform system level design and integration. * Ability to work within large cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, electrical, test engineering, etc) to achieve product line objectives. * Responsible for new product development of total VSAT system solutions. Candidate will need to coordinate and own the technical schedule, cost evaluation/constraints, and program/customer requirements needs from beginning to end. Additional responsibilities for this area would include, but are not limited to: * Development and implement system specifications and the flow down to lower-level specifications. * Provide input into new product development, processes, and engineering standards that shall impact the success of the SATCOM business. * Willing and able to research, learn, and implement new areas of knowledge and tools in such areas as mechanical, electrical, and RF engineering. * Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally to meet with and support customers for current systems and future development opportunities. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: * Knowledge of and experience working with SATCOM VSAT systems, both End-to-End and single terminal side, RF networking and systems, wired networking, MIL-STD data links, and modems.
