Job Title: Senior Specialist, Systems Engineering Job Code: 41758 Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description: L3Harris is seeking systems engineers in Rochester NY to work on a dynamic team to develop EO/IR solutions. They will have Systems Engineering responsibilities consisting of the synthesis, definition, analysis, development, integration & test of electro-optic systems for airborne and ground surveillance. Candidate will work closely with cross functional members in engineering, manufacturing, & program management to design, develop & build high performance systems. Essential Functions: * Design/develop system architectures, define key capabilities and performance requirements * Define total systems design and technology that meet mission requirements * Define system implementation approach and operational concepts * Develop models and architectural guidelines for future technologies * Ensure requirements are met and evaluate performance measures * Perform system and subsystem integration, technical risk assessment, technical planning, verification and validation, and supportability analyses * Understand and implement systems engineering processes on programs and projects * Create and update essential engineering documents including specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations * Coordinate with other functional engineers to develop and test products, resolve compatibility and interface problems with other subsystems * Provide timely production support and problem resolution * Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
