Sr Platform Engineer II

We’re actively seeking a talented Sr Platform Appian Engineer II to join our BPM Enablement Platform team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is hybrid, allowing employees to work both in and out of the office. Responsibilities Work directly with technology and business teams to understand processes and requirements, providing end‑user support. Partner with IT and functional areas to develop simple, effective, and innovative solutions that simplify workflow processes. Ensure smooth operation of Investments Appian applications by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and applying necessary updates and patches. Identify areas for process improvement within existing Appian applications and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Assist with creation and review of programming documentation, recommending changes in development, maintenance, and application standards. Perform process development, testing/debugging to ensure minimal maintenance using best practices. Conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions of the Investments Appian applications with other Appian Platform resources. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, information technology, or related field. 5+ years’ experience designing and maintaining Appian BPM applications. Appian Level 2 and/or 3 certification. Software development experience with .NET, Java, Visual Basic, C#, etc. Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and UI/UX design. Experience with Appian Admin console and administration of application servers. Knowledge of Appian integrations, plug‑ins, and MS‑SQL or equivalent. Experience working in an Agile team environment. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. What Will Make You Stand Out Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Advanced knowledge and experience in Appian, BPM, or other workflow development. Knowledge of Appian development, UI design, custom data types, and process design. Experience with Azure DevOps, pipelines, and AWS. Base Pay Range $167,670.00 – $204,930.00 (actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location).
