Credit Review Risk Analyst

Location: New York, NY - 5 Days/Week Onsite Position Overview Client is seeking a Credit Review Risk Analyst to support credit risk review and analysis across loans, mortgage-related assets, and structured products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience analyzing loan and mortgage credit risk , with exposure to MBS/RMBS, ABS, CMBS, or other structured finance products . This role is primarily focused on credit review, risk analysis, portfolio monitoring, and structured credit products rather than highly technical data science or software development. Key Responsibilities Perform credit risk reviews and analysis of loans, mortgage-related assets, and structured credit products . Analyze credit quality, risk factors, portfolio exposure, and performance trends. Review MBS/RMBS, ABS, CMBS, CLOs, and other structured finance products as applicable. Support portfolio-level credit risk analysis, monitoring, and reporting. Assist with stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk assessment . Review loan and transaction-level information to identify potential credit concerns and emerging risks. Analyze borrower, counterparty, collateral, and portfolio information to support credit decisions. Monitor portfolio performance, delinquencies, defaults, concentrations, and other relevant risk indicators. Perform data analysis using Excel and other basic analytical tools to identify trends and support risk reporting. Work with risk management, credit, front-office, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve risk-related issues. Prepare clear documentation, reports, and presentations summarizing credit findings and risk exposures. Support ongoing enhancement of credit risk monitoring and review processes. Required Qualifications Experience in credit risk, credit review, loan analysis, mortgage credit risk, structured finance, or related financial risk functions . Strong understanding of loans and credit risk concepts . Experience with one or more of the following: MBS, RMBS, ABS, CMBS, CLOs, structured products, mortgage loans, or commercial loans . Experience analyzing financial/credit data and identifying risk trends. Strong Excel/data analysis skills. Ability to review large amounts of financial information and communicate key risk findings clearly. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Financial services, banking, investment banking, or asset management experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with mortgage-backed securities or loan-level credit analysis . Experience with portfolio risk monitoring and stress testing . Knowledge of structured credit products and securitization. Experience with credit quality reviews, risk reporting, or credit surveillance. SQL or other basic data-analysis experience is a plus, but this is not a highly technical role . Work Arrangement 5 days per week onsite in New York City Local NYC candidates strongly preferred due to an in-person final interview . Candidates within approximately 50-100 miles of NYC may be considered. Important Candidates should have a credit/loan/mortgage risk background .
